This book here might still be useful though when you suddenly want to know how to say “For about 2 years” or “If he had gone” or for a list of common classifiers, so it’s at least not completely useless.
The book will be welcomed higbei anyone learning the language past the beginning level and is an essential reference work for libraries and universities with an interest in Asia.

When I saw the heading of this thread, that’s the book I thought it would be about. I know of none better, and have read plenty.
The goal here is to compile these resources, align them, and make them searchable, but sealang doesn’t do any of the generating of the translated content itself. Posted February 21, edited.
This book is a serious and comprehensive study of Thai. Over the course of using the book, I have seen at least one discrepancy. It’s probably designed for students of Thai who already know a great deal of the language and want to improve their understanding, because of several reasons: My take on it is that it is useful, but some constructions are not quite natural Thai, and some translations will seem a little contrived – but dont get me wrong though – it IS a good reference work to have on your shelf.

It is an extremely useful companion for new and old speakers of Thai as a second language. I’d rather describe it as a large collection of English collocations with their most common translations in colloquial Thai, exemplified by a large amount of realistic sentences.
